Who Has The Best Mac And Cheese In Michigan?
Last week I told you about the upcoming Michigan Mac and Cheese Festival and the response has been insane. It is clear that Michiganders love their mac and cheese (present company included).
Whether it's homemade, out of a box, or ordered at a restaurant - macaroni and cheese is always a crowd pleaser. When it comes to adding food to your mac and cheese, the possibilities are endless. Here are a few examples.
- Hot dogs
- Ham
- Bacon
- Tuna (not for me, but maybe for you)
- Broccoli
- Ground beef or turkey
- Lobster
- Crab
- Jalapeno
- Chorizo
I think you get the picture. Like I said, the options are endless.
If you are not whipping up macaroni and cheese, who do you think serves the best in terms of Michigan restaurants? Full disclosure, I love the mac & cheese at the Clarkston Union and the Fenton Fire Hall and Union Woodshop. All three spots are owned and operated by Union Joints.
I also think Blondie's Food & Spirits serves a mean macaroni and cheese and I have heard that Woodchips BBQ in Lapeer has a great homemade mac & cheese too. Obviously there are many more Michigan spots then I have mentioned above that also serve cheesy goodness. Tell me who and where these bars and or restaurants are.
I think it goes without saying the majority of us will make a drive for a delicious meal, especially one that involves delicious macaroni and cheese. So please share your favorite place for mac & cheese from Genesee County, Lapeer County to the Upper Peninsula and everywhere in between, where is the best of the best?
