April is one of the better months in sports, considering that we are looking at NHL and NBA playoffs, the start of the baseball season, and a tradition unlike any other, The Masters.  Check out my thoughts on what's going on around the sporting world.

Now this is how you start a hockey game! Just three seconds after the opening faceoff the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils dropped their their gloves and started pounding on each other during last night's game at Madison Square Garden.

Tonight, history will be made. The Detroit Red Wings will take the ice in hopes of pulling off their 21st consecutive home win, setting a new team record in the NHL. Check out the highlight video of the march to 21.

These two hockey teams thought they were being filmed for a documentary about recreational league hockey. That wasn't the case, they were actually being filmed for a heartwarming Budweiser commercial that will air during the Super Bowl this Sunday. As the two teams took to the ice in an empty arena, they had no idea there was a huge flash mob waiting outside.

Living in Michigan, we know a thing or two about snow.  And in a blizzard situation, the white stuff adds up pretty quick.    Somewhere over in Europe. a nasty snow storm hit and brought the roof down on an open hockey rink.

Edmonton Oiler Taylor Hall was sidelined when he tripped during warm-ups and his teammate Corey Potter accidentally sliced open the left side of Hall's head while attempting to leap over him. Click through to watch it happen and see the nasty aftermath.

Three Days Grace are taking time off from recording their new album to play at the NHL Faceoff Festival tonight (10/6) in Winnipeg. Vocalist Adam Gontier spoke with NHL Live about the upcoming season and his theory about rock stars and hockey players.

A lot of people think fighting in hockey is bringing the sport down.  I am not one of those people.  As a matter of fact, fighting is one of the few things I understand about hockey.  This past weekend, one of the greatest hockey fights that I have ever seen happened this weekend in a Leafs Vs. Senators game featuring Francis Lessard vs Jay Rosehill.
