HOAX ALERT: Actor Wayne Knight, Newman From ‘Seinfeld,’ Not Dead After Car Crash

It is being reported that Wayne Knight, best known for his role as Jerry's arch-nemesis Newman on 'Seinfeld,' has suffered fatal injuries in a car crash... but it is not true.

US Magazine and a few other websites reported that the actor was involved in an accident with a semi-truck trailer on Saturday night (3/15) near the Pennsylvania-New York state  border and died on the scene from injuries. Apparently this was not the case.

Knight must have seen the reports, because shortly after the rumors began circulating he tweeted this:

Maybe the death scare will inspire a real 'Seinfeld' reunion... but don't hold your breath.
