A 6-month-old baby from Blanchard was killed in a crash Sunday night in Saginaw County.

Sadly, a 6-month-old baby from Blanchard was killed in the crash.

According to ABC 12, the child was riding in a Buick Encore with three other people when the SUV was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Pierce and Lawndale roads in Kochville Township.

A 26-year-old passenger was thrown from the SUV during the crash. The drivers of the pickup trucks reported minor injuries and did not require additional medical treatment.

Investigators say the SUV failed to stop at the intersection of Pierce and Lawndale roads before being hit by a pickup truck.

Beyond that, there aren't a lot of answers right now. Authorities haven't released much additional information as the investigation continues.
