How a New Year’s Eve Argument in Saginaw County Turned Violent
Prosecutors say Huffman and her then-boyfriend went out to celebrate New Year’s Eve on December 31, 2024. Sometime after midnight, they ended up back at a home in Spaulding Township, and things got crazy.
They got into a heated argument, and that’s when Huffman bit off part of the man’s tongue. The injury was so severe that doctors were unable to reattach it. It’s unclear how much of the tongue was severed.
Huffman was arrested early on New Year’s Day.
What Could Happen Next in the Saginaw County Case
Apparently, the victim has told prosecutors he doesn’t want this pushed any further. Honestly, he probably just wants to be done with the whole thing so he never has to deal with her again. I mean, he's been dealing with this for over a year. While that does matter, it doesn’t completely close the door.

Prosecutors say if Huffman decides not to take responsibility, the charge could be bumped up to something much more serious. We’re talking a felony that could carry up to ten years. So yeah, this isn’t exactly over.
