Bay County Deputy Who Fired Gun In School Waives Hearing
Back on November 11th, Deputy Adam J. Brown was involved in an accident which caused a teacher to be grazed by a bullet. While using a machine to test the trigger pull of his personal .380-caliber Sig Sauer, the gun when off. Unfortunately, it was still loaded.
The bullet from the gun shot through the wall and into another classroom. The other room was filled with 30 students and another teacher. The bullet ricocheted off a concrete wall and struck teacher Brenda Amthor. Thankfully, she walked away with only a scratch.
On Thursday, Deputy Brown waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Now he will the Bay County Circuit Court and decide on a plea agreement or trial.
