Beached Boat On Lake Michigan Causes Beach Closure In Ludington
Last week, a 76-foot vessel traveling on Lake Michigan was run aground by the owner. On a trip to Traverse City, the vessel started taking on water, so to save the crew, the owner put it on the beach.
After that, some high winds and weather began tearing the boat apart. Yesterday, authorities had to close the western beach at Ludington State Park as debris was washing up on the shore.
No reports of pollution have been made.
