Who created the Big Banana Car?

The Big Banana Car was created and built by Steve Braithwaite and a close group of friends.

Construction began in 2009, mainly on Sundays and occasional weeknights. Eventually, the original 1993 Ford pickup was converted into a rolling banana and hit the road in 2011.

Since then, the car has traveled coast to coast and has remained a popular attraction nationwide.

The Big Banana Car will be at Shea Collision Center on Saturday, August 11th, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We hope to see a bunch of you there.
