Bigfoot Sightings Surge Near the Michigan Border

If you know me, you know I love a good Bigfoot story. It’s not that I’m some hardcore believer, I just find the whole thing fascinating. And lately, a string of reported sightings not far from the Michigan border has been creating quite the buzz online.

Where Are These Bigfoot Sightings Happening Near Michigan?

Believe it or not, several reported Sasquatch sightings have popped up recently just south of the Michigan border in northeast Ohio. According to reports shared by the Bigfoot Society, at least six or seven encounters have been logged over the last several days in areas around Portage County and Trumbull County.

Multiple Bigfoot Sightings Reported in Northeast Ohio

One witness claimed they were out in a field when they suddenly locked eyes with what they described as a nine-foot-tall, brown-haired Sasquatch in the middle of the afternoon. Can you imagine what that would do to you mentally? I don’t think anyone is ever prepared for something like that.

Another report came early Tuesday morning in Newton Township. A resident letting their dog outside around 4 a.m. said they saw a massive black shadow between eight and ten feet tall moving near the tree line. According to the report, the dog immediately lunged aggressively toward the woods.

Other sightings included a tall, shadowy figure near the Headwaters Trail and another person claiming they saw a brown figure running with an “impossibly long stride.”

How Many Bigfoot Sightings Have Been Reported in Michigan and Ohio?

Of course, none of these sightings are confirmed. But according to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, Ohio has logged more than 300 reported encounters over the years. Michigan isn’t far behind with well over 200 sightings on record.

Even though these sightings didn’t happen in Michigan, they’re not exactly far away. Ohio is right next door, so who knows, maybe it’s just a matter of time before this thing decides to head a little farther north.

This is definitely a story worth keeping an eye on. When this many reports start popping up in just a few days, something strange is going on. Whether it’s Bigfoot or not…who knows.
