Chris Cornell is dusting off his acoustic guitar and hitting the road for a 21-date U.S. tour that runs from November 1st to December 17th.

Chris Cornell has been hard at work on the new Soundgarden album that is expected next spring. While all reports have the new record leaning toward the heavy, Cornell is taking a break for some lighter fare late this fall.

Chris has announced a string of U.S. dates for his Songbook tour, where he will play songs from his entire back-catalog including material from Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, as well as selections from his solo career. The intimate setting will be similar to that of VH1's Storytellers, as Cornell will interact with the crowd and share personal stories relating to the music. Tickets for the tour went on sale earlier today.
