A few weeks ago 'Jackass' star Ryan Dunn was killed in a high speed car accident in Pennsylvania. The longtime friend of the Margera clan gets a farewell dedication from alt-metal group CKY in the video for 'Afterworld'.

Prior to his death, Ryan Dunn had shot several episodes of a new show for G4 called 'Proving Ground'. Dunn along with co-host Jessica Chobot attempt to recreate scenarios from video games and films, think 'MythBusters' meets, well... 'Jackass'. G4 will begin airing the remainder of the filmed episodes next Tuesday (July 19th) at 8pm, the first episode will be prefaced by a special tribute to Dunn on 'Attack of the Show' at 7pm.

Dunn was a very good friend of Bam Margera, so it was only a matter of time before his brother Jess' band CKY honored the life of the fallen 'Jackass' star. Jess spoke to Noisecreep about the tragedy:

We want to dedicate this video to my good friend Ryan Dunn, who just died. It's been a tough couple of weeks for everyone here. When our management office told us that we were going to release the video for 'Afterworld,' Chad [Ginsburg] and I thought it was fitting since the song was originally on the soundtrack to the 'Jackass 3D' movie and the subject of the lyrics. There's lines in the song about not saying goodbye and all of that kind of stuff, so it just made us want to dedicate it to Ryan."

Guitarist Chad Ginsburg saidabout the text that drummer Jess Margera received from Dunn on the night of his death, "In the last text that Ryan ever sent Chad, he told him how much he loved 'Afterworld' and that it was his favorite CKY video."

The band linked the video through their official Twitter page with the message "here is the long awaited CKY 'Afterworld' video. dedicated to Ryan Dunn. there's no goodbyes, in the afterworld"
