The Genesee County Costco will open on March 13th, 2025. However, you can now visit the new location to sign up for your membership.

A vestibule is set up for guests to stop by and sign up for a membership before the grand opening. Hours to sign up are as follows,

  • Monday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

There are two membership options guests can choose from,

  • Executive Membership: $130 per year
  • Gold Star Membership: $65 per year

The Executive Membership includes the following,

  • Annual 2% Rewards
  • Costco Service Discounts
  • 2 Membership Cards
  • Shop Online and in the Warehouse
  • 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Abandoned 1949 Mammoth Department Store in Detroit

Built in 1949, the Mammoth building started as the Federal Department Store, a vital part of the community. Over the years, different owners like Kingsway Department Stores and Mammoth Department Store shaped its history.

The doors officially closed in 2001 and it's been empty ever since.
