Cowbell Assault Equals Jail Time

I bet the victim was yelling "less cowbell"!

A Mississippi man is behind bars after assaulting a college student with a freakin' cow bell.

Brent Vowell pled guilty for hitting Mississippi State student, Matthew Brasher with the bell.

Apparently the beating went down during the 2009 Egg Bowl, a game between Mississippi State & Ole Miss.

As a result of the assault Brasher had a 14 inch cut in his head.  Damn!

Vowell will spend 45 days in jail, but as of now the case is still not closed.
