Michiganders Can’t Wait for This Month’s Olive Burger Festival
Prepare to indulge your taste buds as we draw closer to the highly anticipated Olive Burger Festival.
Back in November, we first told you about the Olive Burger Festival. At the time, we didn't have a lot of information but people went nuts over the idea.
If you love Michigan's century-old creation, then you're going to love this festival, entirely dedicated to olive burger lovers.
When is Lansing's Olive Burger Festival?
Michigan’s first-ever Olive Burger Festival will take place on Saturday, June 24. The event will run from noon to 7 pm.
Where Will The Olive Burger Festival be Held?
The Olive Burger Festival will take place at Jackson Field, located at 505 E Michigan Ave in Lansing.
Lansing Foodies event coordinator, Erin Brains:
We’re thrilled to be hosting the Olive Burger Festival at Jackson Field this year. This is a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate one of Michigan’s most beloved foods. We have an exciting lineup of vendors and activities planned, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.
According to Lansing Foodies, the event will feature more than a dozen of the best olive burgers from local restaurants and food trucks, live music, beer, wine, bounce houses face painting, and more.
While the olive burger first originated in Michigan in 1923, the city of origin has been a topic of debate for years. Some say the olive burger was first created in Flint in 1923 at Kewpee Hotel Hamburgs. Others claim the burger's inception can be attributed to Mr. Fables in Grand Rapids.
