Chaos At Detroit Metro Airport As Driver Crashes Terminal Doors
It is business as usual at Detroit Metro Airport, just days after a male driver crashed through glass doors at the McNamara Terminal on Friday, January 23rd, 2026.
At roughly 7:30 PM, an unidentified man drove through the airport, and immediatley exited his vehicle. TSA and police officers on scene, immediatley took the driver into custody. Reports indicate he was speaking incoherently.

As you might expect, this unusual incident has drawn national attention. According to the New York Post, six individuals were treated at the scene.

When you really think about how many people are moving through an airport at all hours of the day and night, it’s honestly surprising, and really lucky, that no one was seriously injured during this incident.
As mentioned above, the identity of the driver has not yet been released, and authorities have provided no information regarding his motives for the crash.
It's just a matter of time before more informaiton is released.
As someone who is terrified of flying, an incident like this does nothing to ease my fear. Sure, this is not something that happens every day, but the fact that it happened at all is enough to make anyone uneasy.
