If this whole thing hadn’t been caught on camera, I’m not sure anybody would believe it.

Two brothers on Detroit’s west side woke up and spotted a goat named Smokey just hanging out in the neighborhood like it was no big deal.

Detroit Brothers Caught on Camera Freaking Out Over Loose Goat

According to Fox 2 Detroit, Daelan Scott and his brother, Jupiter Star, came face to face with a goat named Smokey after he apparently took himself on a morning stroll and scared the absolute life out of them. Daelan even admitted he’s terrified of goats, which makes the whole thing even funnier. You can watch all of it unfold in the video below.

Daelan couldn’t believe his eyes when he first saw Smokey, and his reaction proved he really is terrified of goats. As the goat walked toward him, Daelan started screaming like a girl and jumped onto the roof of a nearby vehicle like it was the only safe place left on Earth.

Jupiter didn’t do much to help besides watch from the window, but their mom sure tried. She ran outside, wielding a kitchen knife, took one look at Smokey, and immediately sprinted back into the house.

Their search for the mystery goat led them down the street to the Psychedelic Healing Shack. The owner, Dr. Bob Pizzimenti, told Fox 2 that Smokey wasn’t alone. He has a small group of goats on his property, and he says they’re gentle, healing animals that bring a calming energy to the place.

In Detroit, you can legally have ducks, chickens, and even honey bees, but goats fall into a weird gray area.

Now, Dr. Bob is going back and forth with the city, trying to get the proper permits to keep them.
