Detroit Metro Airport Makes Top Five in Best Large U.S. Airports
DTW has made it into the Top Five Best Large Airports in the United States.
The Wall Street Journal has announced its list of the top airports and worst airports in the United States for 2022. Michigan's own Detroit Metro Airport made it into the top five of the best large U.S. airports list.
Well, what spot did Detroit Metro Airport take? DTW is number four on the list. The first, second, and third-place airports were San Francisco International Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, respectively. Taking the number five spot is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
While I have only been to a handful of airports across the country, I actually really like flying in and out of Detroit Metro Airport. Pick up and drop off is super easy for all parties, the terminal is easy to navigate as it is essentially one long hallway, and it has some decent food options while you wait.
On the flip side, I know several people that live in some bigger cities and they hate flying because of their airports. From what I understand, JFK in New York and LAX in California are just nightmares to deal with. Crowded and stressful are the two common complaints I hear. I have never been to either so I really can't say for myself.
My other favorite airport in the U.S. is Las Vegas airport. I always seem to have good luck on the slots in the terminals.
