Detroit Ranked in the Top 5 for 2023’s Dirtiest Cities in America
Yet another list that we don't want to be on, but here we are.
Detroit was just recently ranked in the top 5 dirtiest cities in America. A new list released by LawnStarter compared 150 of the biggest cities in the nation to find out which ones are the dirtiest. Unfortunately, Michigan's largest city was near the top of that list.
To rank these cities, LawnStarter.com used four different categories. Those categories were pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction. After factoring in all of that information, Houston, Texas ranked number one on the list with a score of 56.02. Houston ranked third in the nation for pollution and fourth for bad living conditions.
Where did Detroit land on the list? The Motor City is ranked as the fourth dirtiest city in the United States with a score of 48.3. In the categories used, Detroit was #9 for pollution, #35 for living conditions, #89 for infrastructure, and #4 for consumer satisfaction.
