Flint Gas Prices Are On The Rise
According to AAA gas prices in Michigan are up by 15 cents from last week and it doesn't look like they have any plans on slowing down on raising prices.
This is your typical cash grab for every Summer, but prices are getting a bit too high! Studies show that gas prices are as high as they were in 2014! You would think we would get better over time, I guess not.
“Higher crude oil prices coupled with tightening gas supplies in the Midwest helped push the Michigan state average to the highest since October of 2014,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group. “If domestic crude prices remain high, motorists will likely continue to see pump prices fluctuate through the end of the month.” Source:NBC25.com
Here are gas prices right now:
- Most expensive gas price averages: Metro Detroit ($3.19), Flint ($3.18), Ann Arbor ($3.18)
- Least expensive gas price averages: Benton Harbor ($3.12), Traverse City ($3.13), Marquette ($3.14)
The switch to EV (Electric Vehicles) is looking more and more promising. It's really only a matter of time before gas-powered cars will be a thing of the past and everyone will be driving around in EV's. Flint just approved its first EV charging station downtown which is the first sign of big changes. Soon, you won't have to worry about gas, but just like your phone, you better remember to plug your car in at night.
Even with quick charge technology popping up in the city your car could take up to 30 mins to charge. Either way, I'm really close to making the jump. If gas prices go any higher, I'm heading to the dealership...
