A Mexican restaurant in Flint has announced that it will be closing.

With a heavy heart, Cocina Mio shared the sad news yesterday, Monday, December 8th, 2025, that it will be closing its doors. The Flint restaurant posted the announcement on Facebook, thanking all of its loyal customers and looking back fondly on the memories and moments shared over the years.

Fans of Cocina Mio took to the comments to share their thoughts after the announcement. Many talked about how much they loved the Davison Road restaurant. Some shared memories of favorite dishes or casual dinners with friends and family, while others simply thanked the staff for years of good food and friendly service. It was clear that the restaurant had a special place in the community

When is Cocina Mio in Flint closing?

As of now, no exact closing date has been announced. Per the closing announcement on Facebook, Cocina Mio will not be open into the new year.

We will not be continuing into the new year so we ask that you come support and show love for the final goodbyes.
