Flint Police Looking For Driver That Hit Suicidal Woman on 69
Flint police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a woman who was lying on I-69 early Saturday. After hitting the woman, the driver allegedly fled the scene.
According to ABC12, the woman was riding with her mother when she made a suicidal statement, got out of the vehicle and laid down on the eastbound lanes of I-69 near the Hammerberg Road interchange.
A vehicle came along, hit the woman, and then fled. It seems police are considering this a 'hit and run' case which I guess is technically what happened. I would have to imagine though it is possible, the driver had no idea they hit someone. I mean this woman was laying in the road at night after all.
Gossett is currently in the hospital in critical condition.
Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call the Flint Police Department at 810-237-6899.
