The Courtland Center Mall is hosting another food distribution event on Saturday, September 5th.

The food giveaway is sponsored by the Michigan Muslim Community Council, and it runs from 2p-4p this Saturday. The MMCC is hosting food giveaways throughout the state on Saturday as they try to help everyone impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. This is also an especially hard time for families as we all try to adjust to the new normal of virtual school.

So far the MMCC has distributed more than 30,000 boxes of fresh produce, dairy, and other food items throughout Michigan. The work they have been doing has helped so many people in Michigan right now. If you would like to donate, volunteer, or get more information about upcoming food giveaways, you can find more information on their Facebook page here.

The MMCC will be busy this Saturday, as they have been every Saturday running food distribution events throughout the state. You can check out their Facebook post below to see where the other events are happening around the state.

If you are unable to attend any of the events, but would still like to help out, you can donate online for upcoming food distribution events here.

The event at Courtland Center this Saturday will provide more than 1,000 boxes for families in need. There are no special requirements for anyone that would like to pick up a box of food. You simply roll through the pickup line, and pick up your box.
