If you are in need of assistance right now, you my friend are not alone. Here we are 8 months into the coronavirus pandemic, and things really don't seem to be getting better. As a matter of fact, with the numbers going up in terms of people infected, it makes me wonder if things will ever get back to normal?

Money is tight for a lot of area families. Maybe even yours. If you are struggling to put food on the table, there is help available. The Flint Community Education Initiative is hosting a free drive-thru food distribution tomorrow, Friday, November 13th, at the Accelerated Learning Academy, located at 1602 South Averill Avenue in Flint. Between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, those in need within the Flint Community are able to receive free food. The only thing you must share with volunteers on hand, is your zip code.

According to the Flint Community Education Facebook page, this will be a safe, and contact free. Volunteers will take care of all the heavy lifting, while you stay in the comfort of your own vehicle.

If you are in need, please go. There is no need for you to feel embarrassed, or ashamed. Chances are, this is the first time in your life that you need help. Like I said at the beginning of this article, you are not alone. No one planned on the world turning completely upside down. You and your family will get through this, until that time - take the help.

The Flint Community Education Initiative is hosting a FREE Food Distribution this Friday, November 13th from 1pm-3pm....
