General Motors Mass Producing Autonomous Cars Without Steering Wheels or Pedals

I know the idea of cars being on the road without drivers really freaks some people out. I guess it does me too but at the same times, I think the idea is cool as hell.

It's no longer just an idea as General Motors claims to be the first making mass production autonomous cars that won't have steering wheels or pedals. In order to get these cars on the street, they had to file a petition with the federal government to get permission to put the vehicles on the road in 2019. Obviously, without a steering wheel or pedal, these cars would not have back up drivers.

According to WNEM, the first of the autonomous Chevrolet Bolts are being tested. They have yet to announce where these cars will be produced.
