Genesee County Free Appliance Recycling Now Through July 30th
If you need to get rid of an old appliance, now is the time.
Genesee County is helping you get rid of those old appliances for free starting today (June 1st, 2021.) If you have been remodeling the hope or just had to replace an appliance in your home and need to get rid of the old one, you can do that now for free.
Where can I drop off my old home appliance?
If you have a home appliance that you want to get out of the garage that you are no longer using, Genesee County will take it off your hands for free. All you have to do is drop it off at Green for Life Environmental (GFL) in Flint. Green for Life Environmental is located at 2051 West Bristol Road.
When can I drop off my old home appliance?
Genesee County residents can now drop off their old appliances through July 30th, 2021. Just head to Green for Life Environmental Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4 pm to get rid of your appliance. Keep in mind Green for Life Environmental will not be offering rebates for the appliances that you drop off.
What appliances are being accepted at the recycling drop-off?
The appliances that will be accepted include:
- Washers and Dryers
- Dishwashers
- Ovens
- Freezers
- Refrigerators
- Humidifiers
- Dehumidifiers
