Golf Legends and Spartan Power Will Play for Charity at Ally Challenge
We are just about a month away from this years Ally Challenge presented by McLaren at Warwick Hills in Grand Blanc. As things are shaping up for another amazing tournament, fans are getting excited to see some the greatest in the sport hit the course.
One of the tournament’s fan-favorite events, the Celebrity Shootout, will once again be a major highlight. This years highly anticipated competition will feature golf’s greatest champion Jack Nicklaus along with fellow World Golf Hall-of-Famer Lee Trevino. Also playing will be NCAA Men’s Basketball title-winning head coach Tom Izzo of Michigan State University.
“I look forward to returning to Michigan and the fans at Warwick Hills, and reconnecting with my friends at Ally,” Nicklaus said. “It’s been a couple of years since we did this, but I recall how kind and appreciative the galleries were. Most important, we raised significant money for charity, and hope to do so once again. I don’t play much golf these days, but I am certain we will have a lot of fun. And if I can negotiate eight shots from Lee for the nine holes, we will have even more fun!", Nicklaus said in a statement to the press.
The fourth celebrity will be added to create a powerhouse team in the coming weeks. The foursome will play a 9-hole team scramble exhibition match to benefit charity. The group will tee off on the back nine after the last regular play group goes through.
