Great Lakes Smoothie Co. & Eatery is under new ownership, and the new owners will look very familiar to a lot of you. Davison residents RJ Ryan and Tammy Trea are now running the show at the popular Swartz Creek spot. If you think RJ looks like that guy who works at The Machine Shop - you are right.

I went to Great Lakes Smoothie this past Saturday and was blown away. The food and smoothies were absolutely delicious. I was able to sit down and enjoy lunch with RJ and Tammy, they told me all about the fresh ingredients that are used in the wraps, paninis, salads, quesadillas and smoothies, and also how excited they are to be a part of the Swartz Creek community.

It was not an easy choice as to what to order - everything on the menu looks great. I went with a veggie wrap, cheese quesadillas and a Thin Blue Line smoothie featuring blueberries, strawberries and bananas. Yum! I shared with my friend Johanna who ordered a Mediterranean humus wrap, a Kale Yeah smoothie, a Strawberry Cheesecake smoothie, and a Thin Red Line smoothie. It was a hard choice, but we both agreed the Kale Yeah smoothie was our favorite.

Nothing on the menu is over $8 dollars, and coffee is available as well. Mark my words, you will have a tough time deciding what to order, because everything looks (and is) so good.

Great Lakes Smoothie Co. & Eatery is located on Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Indoor and outdoor dining options are available. Be sure to follow them on Facebook for additional updates and more.

Shout out to RJ, Tammy and their awesome crew. I will be back this week to see all of your smiling faces, and of course for more awesome smoothies and food. I hope you will visit Great Lakes Smoothie soon too, in the meantime - check out some pics from my visit below.
