Well, well, well, look what's trying to make a comeback. Hot 'n Now, the once-popular fast-food chain known for its super cheap burgers, is opening two new locations in Michigan later this year.

When I was a teenager, Hot 'n Now was life. It was literally the only place you could go to get a burger for 39 cents. And I'm not going to lie, it was the best-tasting super cheap burger ever. At least, that's how I remember it. But when you're a kid paying for it yourself, you're not too picky. I would get together with friends, and we would plow through bags filled with Hot 'n Now burgers.

Hot 'n Now was founded in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1984 and spread like crazy across the Midwest. With its insanely cheap menu and quick drive-thru service, it became the ultimate spot for burger lovers on a budget. At its peak, there were over 150 locations serving up those super affordable burgers.

Nearly every location in Michigan closed, aside from the last one that's still open in Sturgis. However, that's about to change as the company behind the brand is looking to revive the once-thriving franchise.

Hot 'n Now Opening New Locations in Michigan

According to Fox 17, an investment company teamed up with business owner Jeff Konczak to acquire Hot 'n Now under HNN Holdings, LLC.

The group says they’re bringing back the beloved drive-thru franchise, with new locations planned near Alpena and Gun Lake Casino this year. They’re not stopping there—they have big plans to open more locations in the future.

If they plan to keep their prices low, this could be a game-changer in the fast food world, where prices are higher than ever.

The Michigan-based burger chain operated in nearly 15 states at its prime. Today the only remaining location in operation is in Sturgis, MI.
