New Michigan Hot ‘n Now Restaurant Constructed in Just One Day

A new Michigan Hot 'n Now location was constructed in just a single day.

You read that correctly. The building was constructed in just one day, which is quite remarkable. One day, it was simply an empty lot, and the next day, boom - there was a fully built Hot 'n Now standing there.

The building was originally constructed in Alpena, then transported to Wayland in sections, parts, for lack of a better word. You can think of it like assembling a giant puzzle, with each piece fitting together to form the final structure.

When is the new Hot n' Now in Wayland opening?

An official opening date has yet to be announced. The new location, situated across from Gun Lake Casino, will offer walk-up and drive-thru service only.

Are there any other Hot 'n Now locations in Michigan?

There is only one currently open Michigan Hot 'n Now location in Strugis.

It looks like a new Hot ’n Now location is currently in development in Alpena, with plans to hopefully open its doors in October 2025.

Hot 'n Now was founded in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1984. By 1990, the chain had expanded rapidly, with more than 100 locations across 15 states, according to Wikipedia.

From what it sounds like, things really started to go downhill after PepsiCo bought the brand. Franchise owners were frustrated, not just with the menu changes, but with other issues too.

That is the past. Could these two new Hot 'n Now locations mean potentially more openings in Michigan as well? One can only hope.
