Not all people are fans of fireworks, and those goes for animal too. The loud booms scare humans as well as your pets.

The simple solution is to leave your pets at home when you head off to watch fireworks. For those of you that live close to firework shows, it is not as easy. Your pet(s), will most likely hear the fireworks inside. According to Veterinarian Joe Hendricks, there is product called Sileo that you can put on the inside of your dogs cheek and gum. It reportedly helps with anxiety. According to the Sileo website, the gel is the first FDA approved treatment for dogs that suffer from noise aversion.

Please keep in mind your neighbors and their pets if you are lighting off fireworks at home. I know lots of veterans that do not like fireworks for obvious reasons. Let's give them and their pets the respect they deserve.
