I do not have kids, so I don't know what kind of letters parents typically receive from schools. I would imagine things like upcoming field trips, scheduled days off, holiday parties etc. One Howell man thinks he should have received a letter about a transgender student attending the same school as his kids.

Matt Stewart was actually so upset he pulled his kids from Southwest Elementary School in Howell. Apparently Stewart asked one of his sons about how school was. The kid told him about a girl in the boys bathroom and that is when Stewart contacted the school. This is obviously a hot issue. Everyone has an opinion, as we are entitled to. My opinion? Running away from a situation is not the answer. Communication, education and information are key. Life is full of all kinds of people. Sheltering kids is not the answer. Now tell me what you think.
