Michigan's Best Salad Bar for 2024: Here's Where You Can Find It

Who doesn't love going thru a salad bar? Well, at least if it's a good one. Some salad bars truly rock, others just lay there flat.

Some of the worst salad bars I've seen only had a bowl of lettuce, red onions, carrots and tomatoes. Dressings were Thousand Island and oil & vinegar.

To me, a trip thru the salad bar IS my whole meal: a little lettuce topped with heaps of chopped eggs, shredded cheese, lots of onions, cherry tomatoes, chick peas, and slathered with blue cheese, buttermilk ranch, and western dressing.....and I'm good for the whole day.

The greatest salad bars include SO many more salad toppings and a wide variety of at least ten different dressings. There's also potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, cottage cheese, fruit salad, et cetera and so on.

But many other salad bars go above and beyond the call of duty. The owners' imaginations run wild with creativity and put things on that bar that you probably wouldn't have thought of. Many of these are specialty salad bars, featuring items from a certain area, whether it's Asian/Oriental, Spanish, Greek, Italian.....or even Texas BBQ-style.
