Billy Bob’s Grand Blanc Opens With $3.69 Gas

This morning, after more than a year of construction, Billy Bob's Country Market and Marathon gas station on Dort Highway has officially opened in Grand Blanc Township. And they are celebrating with ridiculously cheap gas prices.

Billy Bob’s Country Market Is Finally Open in Grand Blanc

While the prices at many gas stations in Mid-Michigan are well over $4 a gallon right now, when Billy Bob's opened this morning and turned on the gas pumps, customers saw the price for regular unleaded at $3.69 with a cash payment, or $3.79 with credit card.

UPDATE: Billy Bob's has informed us that they will be keeping the price at $3.69 through this Friday (7/31/2026)

This is the second Billy Bob's after the family-owned business opened their first location inside the old Kmart building on Dixie Highway in Waterford. Prior to that, Billy and his family opened Food Castle at Grand Blanc Road and Dort Highway.

Billy Bob's Country Market is named after Billy and his dad, Bob. They would watch Westerns together, so the country theme is a perfect fit. The new store serves breakfast Monday through Friday mornings at 6, and weekend mornings at 7.

In addition to hot, fresh food made right in the store, they have a huge selection of beverages from pop, water and juice, to beer wine and spirits. Not to mention fresh coffee, a huge selection of snacks, even a few groceries and automotive necessities.

Billy Bob’s Family Has Another Genesee County Project Coming

Now that the second Billy Bob's store is open, Billy told us that he is gonna make sure everything is running smoothly before moving on to his next project. He and his family are preparing to open a second Food Castle location in Swartz Creek at Miller and Seymour Roads.
