President Richardson-Snell emphasized support for those who may be struggling emotionally in the aftermath. Licensed professional counselors with the MCC Care Team are available for students, and staff members can access help through the Employee Assistance Program. Several MCC trustees also weighed in, expressing sympathy and broader concern about gun violence in the Flint area. As one trustee put it, this wasn’t just a tragic moment for campus, but a reminder of the larger challenges facing our community.
