A shocking and brutal scene unfolded in Michigan Sunday night, and it is honestly hard to wrap your head around. Gladwin County Deputies were called out to Billings Township around 9 p.m. for what they thought was a domestic assault. Instead, they found a Beaverton man in his 50s bleeding from multiple wounds and barely able to explain what happened. And when he did, it was unbelievable.

They believe he was also smashed with a glass bottle and struck with a hammer. That is right, a hammer. It is a miracle the man survived long enough for EMS to rush him to the hospital.

Search Leads Deputies to a Camper

Deputies immediately launched a search for Lier and ended up tracking her to a camper. With a search warrant in hand, they went inside and found her, along with the knives, the broken bottle, and the hammer they believe were used in the attack. She was taken into custody on the spot.

Lier was arraigned yesterday, December 9, 2025, on some of the most serious charges you can face: assault with intent to murder and two counts of felonious assault. She is now sitting in the Gladwin County Jail on a staggering $400,000 bond while she waits for her December 18th court date.
