Genesee County Bar Closing for Good After 17 Years of Service
A longtime Genesee County favorite for food and drinks has announced it's closing its doors for good.
We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but once again, a good Genesee County bar/restaurant is closing. After 17 awesome years, Joe's Garage Sports Pub in Clio is shutting its doors.
Earlier today, the Clio hot spot announced that it would be officially closing its doors due to owner Joe’s unfortunate decline in health. However, they aren't closed just yet. They are going to stay open long enough for customers to stop in and say their goodbyes while enjoying one last cold one.
When is Joe's Garage Sports Pub Closing for Good?
According to their post on Facebook, Joe's Garage will officially close on October 18.
It is with deep sorrow to announce October 18th will be our last day open. Due to Joe's unfortunate decline in health, we have decided to move forward focusing on our family and our future. We have been so blessed over the past 17 years to build so many relationships with our community and are so grateful for the outpouring of support over the years. We will forever have these memories to share.
Something New Coming to Clio
Even though Joe's Garage is closing soon, there is some good news: you won't have to endure another empty building deteriorating on Vienna Road. Their announcement also included the exciting news that the business has already been sold, and something new will be coming to take its place.
