Kid Rock Surprises Michigan Soldier and Wife With New Home

There is only one thing that can make a feel-good story better, and that one thing my friends is Kid Rock.  The rock star recently was a part of giving American hero and Michigander Davin Dumar and his wife Dana a brand new home.

For all the crap people talk about Kid Rock, you really can't question where his heart is.  Kid Rock recently teamed up with Pulte Homes and Operation Finally Home to surprise a wounded warrior and Mount Clemens native, Davin Dumar and his wife with a brand new home.

Army Sgt. Dumar served in Afghanistan, where he lost a leg and severely injured his arm, was selected by Operation Finally Home Again thanks in part to Kid Rock, who personally called the founder of the charity to talk about Sgt. Dumar.  The charity has been custom building homes for wounded veterans for seven years and will finish customizing the new Dumar home soon.

Rock personally told the Dumars that they would be receiving the house for free and even brought cigars to celebrate the occasion.  Rock thanked Dumar for his sacrifice and service, and as could be expected, the Sgt. stayed humble.  He said of his service, "I love my job and I'd do it all over again if I had to."
