Fenton Kroger Is Officially Open and Ready for Shoppers

The new Kroger store in Fenton is officially open for business.

The highly anticipated grocery store celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, January 22, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a marching band, an in-store DJ, and appearances by characters such as Mr. Pringle and Oatie from Little Debbie.

Shoppers lined up outside the store, buzzing with excitement and eager to be part of the celebration.

Videos and posts from the event were everywhere on social media, and the excitement was impossible to miss. I’ve never been to a grocery store grand opening before, but from the looks and sounds of it, Kroger really went all out.

Where is the new Kroger store in Fenton?

Kroger is at 15100 Silver Parkway. Store hours are as follows,

• Monday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Friday:8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

The opening of the new Fenton location brings the total number of Kroger stores in Genesee County to ten. Other locations include: Burton, Swartz Creek, Grand Blanc, Mount Morris, Davison, Flushing, and three stores in Flint.

I have never been a fan of grocery shopping, but I am surprised by how excited I am to check out this new store. Living in Fenton likely plays a big role. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend Nick is at the new store right now, shopping and signing up for his Kroger rewards card.

There is a good chance I will see you at the new Fenton Kroger this weekend.
