According to the Tri-County Times, there will also be a center turn lane added between Silvercrest Drive and Jennings Road.

As for what portion of Owen Road will be widened and where the sidewalk will go, I am unclear. That being said, anyone who drives on Owen Road near Target, Tim Horton's, or down by Chipotle, knows how busy that stretch is.

I have walked the sidewalk along Silver Lake Parkway numerous times, it will be cool to eventually be able to walk along a longer stretch of Owen Road too.

Fenton is booming and that is a good thing. As a Fenton resident, I love it. So this plan to improve things on Owen Road sounds great to me. Sure construction may be a pain once the project begins - but the end result should be worth it.

I have also been told that Silver Lake Parkway in Fenton will be repaved in 2028. I will keep you posted on that. What other road improvements would you like to see happen in Fenton, or elsewhere in Genesse County?
