Two years ago, police were lead on a statewide manhunt after Francisco C. Arroyo murdered a woman in her home and wounded her boyfriend. On March 8th, a Roscommon County District Judge sentenced him with up to 50 years in prison.

Arroyo plead no contest to second-degree murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. After that, prosecutors dismissed some charges including first-degree home invasion and felony firearm.

The murder happened on June 24, 2015 in Roscommon County. After fleeing the scene police were able to catch Arroyo the next day at a relatives house.

Judge Richard E. Noble sentenced him to two concurrent terms of five to 10 years and 25 to 50 years in prison. June 11, 2040 will be the earliest date that Arroyo may be released from prison.
