May 5th Special Election is Mail-In Only, No Polling Locations
If you are planning on voting on May 5th, it is a "mail-in" election in Genesee County.
The Genesee County Clerk's Office sent a notice to the public yesterday (4/27) with details on the upcoming "mail-in" special election on May 5th. There will be no polling locations to go to this year during the coronavirus pandemic so voters must request an absentee ballot. With the election one week from today, time is ticking away for voters to get this done.
If you have already received an absentee ballot, officials recommend that you put your completed ballot in the drop box at your city or township offices. All the ballots must be received by 8 pm on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 to be counted and processed. If you have not requested your absentee ballot, you still have time to do that this weekend.
To secure your absentee ballot, vote, or register to vote, you can visit your city or township office this weekend. Check the list below to see when your local office will be open.
