It's so heartbreaking to report that a Detroit High School student was recently found submerged in his high school swimming pool.

According to ABC12, a certified swimming instructor found the boy in Mumford High School’s pool just after noon Monday, pulled him out and began CPR after calling 911.

The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital after first responders failed to revive him.

There haven't been many details released about the incident as far as what happened but we do know that the swimming teacher has been placed on administrative leave.

I can't imagine being a parent finding out that my son drowned while at school and under the supervision of teachers. I have no idea what happened so I don't want to form an opinion and go pointing fingers just yet.

Our hearts go out to this poor kid's family.
