These Michigan Campgrounds Were Named the Best for Celebrating Halloween
Many campgrounds around the state of Michigan celebrate Halloween but only two made the list of the best in the country.
The website Camendium posted a list of what they felt were the best campgrounds in the country for celebrating Halloween.
If there are two things Michiganders love it's camping and Halloween. These two Michigan campgrounds offer the best of both worlds during the fall season.
Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City: Holiday Park Campground goes all out for Halloween and offers two weekends of fun that includes campsite decorating contests, haunted forest hayrides, costume contests, pumpkin decorating contests, ghost stories around a fire, and other traditional fun.
Frankenmuth Jellystone Park: Usually Frankenmuth makes the list of best Christmas towns in the country but not when it comes to Frankenmuth Jellystone Park. It's all about Halloween at this campground that offers themed events, costume parades, spooky mini golf, pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, tie-dye, a dance party, and more. They even have their own Halloween merch that they sell.
We're not sure what the methodology was that placed these two campgrounds on the list of the best campgrounds but it sounds like they both go all out for Halloween.
Other campgrounds that made the list:
- Inn Town Campground, Nevada City, California
- Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky
- Colden Lakes Resort, Colden, New York
Hagerstown/Antietam Battlefield KOA Holiday, Williamsport, Maryland
