This week, Michigan’s getting hit with its first real snowstorm of the season. A storm is moving through today (Wednesday), bringing heavy snow that’s expected to last through Thursday morning. And unfortunately, another storm system is lurking right behind it.

First, let’s break down what to expect from the storm blasting us today. According to The Weather Channel, we could see up to 8 inches of snow between this afternoon (or evening) and tomorrow morning. However, forecasters are predicting it’ll be closer to 4-6 inches.

After that storm has its way with us, we’ll get a couple of days to clean up, brush ourselves off, and regroup before the next potential snowstorm hits.

Experts are keeping an eye on a potential snowstorm starting Saturday, which could drop 1-3 inches during the day and another 1-3 inches overnight. That’s really going to create a mess on top of the snow we’re already dealing with this week. But wait—Mother Nature isn’t stopping there, oh no.

On Sunday, the snow is expected to continue, bringing yet another 1-3 inches. Come on now—that's a lot of freaking snow in less than a week. But, of course, this is Michigan, so things could change in a heartbeat.

To top it all off, temperatures are expected to plummet next week, lingering in the teens pretty much the entire time.

Good news—spring officially starts on March 20, just a little over a month away. See? There's always a silver lining.
