Michigan Woman Charged After Authorities Find 86 Cats in Home
A Macomb County woman was recently charged after authorities found 86 cats and a dog living in the home she was being evicted from.
The unidentified woman wasn't charged because of how many animals she had, it was because of the conditions they were living in. According to ABC12, Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said Monday the animals were living in "appalling conditions" in Mount Clemens when they were found last month. Smith's office has charged the woman with animal cruelty.
County animal control officers removed animals only to find most of them were really sick.
This sounds like something you'd see on that show 'Hoarders' which is extremely sad. I don't know if the woman was a hoarder but I'm assuming so after hearing about the conditions the animals were living in. It's a sickness I just can't wrap my head around but many people suffer from it.
