Police are using search dogs to try and track down an attacker or attackers that violently stabbed a woman to death on Friday evening.

The woman was in her 50s and was attacked outside an abandoned house at Grand River and Livernois in Detroit.

It's said that police arrived on the seen really fast but the attacker had run away. Officers are describing the attack as very violent and say the woman suffered multiple wounds to the abdomen and hands.

Police are checking surveillance video from a nearby gas station.
