Motor City Casino is set to reopen tomorrow morning and here is what you can expect.

For those of you that are ready to return to the tables and the slots in Detroit, the casinos will be reopening tomorrow. As with everything nowadays, things will look and work quite a bit differently than the last time you were there.

The doors to Motor City Casino will open back up to the public at 10 am. As with many places, the casino's capacity has been limited per Governor Whitmer's executive order. Motor City will be running at 15% capacity, which ends up being around 1,600 people at a time.

If you are planning a visit, don't expect to just walk in the doors and start playing. The entry process will actually start before you get out of your car. You and the others in your vehicle will have their temperatures taken and asked a series of questions to determine if you will be allowed in. Anyone that has symptoms or has been exposed to COVID-19 will not be allowed entry.

Once you are in the casino, you won't see as much excitement as you are used too. Every other slot machine will be closed. Also, the casino will be closing down sections of 250 slot machines at a time for sanitation. Table games will also be cut from six players to three per table. Currently, Motor City Casino is still waiting for plexiglass dividers to arrive so expect to see your dealers in masks and face shields.

As far as food options go, only the burger deli and Little Caesar's will be open and serving boxed meals. The buffet, Iridescence, the Soundboard, the theater, the spa, and the hotel will remain closed for the time being.
