Michigan is now home to yet another new festival for Michiganders to enjoy.

Coming up on September 23rd through September 25th, Grand Rapids will be taken over by a brand new event called the Confluence Festival. This free and public even will see the convergence of art, music, science, and technology.

This new festival will take place at Calder Plaza in Grand Rapids and feature something for everyone over the course of three days. Check out all events that will take place below.

Music

The Confluence Festival will feature groundbreaking artists from across the nation that break down the barriers between art, music, and technology. The full lineup will be released soon.

Art

Festival-goers will see Art@Confluence unite digital projection, motion graphics, 3D animation, and audio technology that will create a multi-sensory experience.

Maker Expo

Stop by the Maker Expo to see enthusiasts, crafters, hobbyists, engineers, artists, and more create amazing things. The Maker Expo is said to be a mix of science fair and tech meet-up.

Thought Series

The Confluence Festival will also feature a series of talks, panels, and conversations on the transformative power of technology and innovation. The Thought Series will bring together both national and local thought-leaders over the course of the three-day festival.

Innovation Showcase

The Innovation Showcase will feature high-tech start-up companies from traditionally underrepresented communities in the region.

Future Innovators Zone

The kids will also have a blast a the Confluence Festival in the Future Innovators Zone, which will feature hands-on exhibits and activities that focus on science, technology, music, and art.
