MI Woman Accused of Animal Cruelty Faces New Torture Charge

A Central Lake woman was arraigned last Friday in Grand Traverse County on a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty. She was charged two weeks after her husband was taken into custody in Arizona following the discovery of 183 dead dogs, rabbits, birds and other animals in a freezer.

According to UpNorthLive, Brooklyn Beck was brought to Antrim County over the weekend to face a charge of torturing and killing an animal, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

When police first arrived at the home, they discovered a disturbing scene. There were 19 rabbits, 28 dogs, more than 20 snakes and other reptiles, 50 mice and rats and a bunch of other dead animals. Again, some of those animals were found dead in a freezer. Several of the animals appeared to have been frozen alive due to their body positioning.

These animals don’t have a voice. You know, people and kids they all get to yell, scream and holler and say that I was abused and this is what happened, these animals don’t have that chance.

Beck’s husband was arrested on 94 counts of animal cruelty in Mojave County, Arizona. Yes, 94 counts of animal cruelty. Last week police discovered about 200 animals at her Central Lake property.

It's very obvious that this husband and wife are very disturbed. How could anyone take an animal alive and toss it in the freezer to die? It takes a sick individual to do something like that. Heck, I couldn't throw a dead animal in my freezer. I mean, that's just gross.

I hope both of these sickos spend some time behind bars for their actions.
