Pictured Rocks Shipwreck Cruises Are Gearing up for The 2021 Season
I've lived in Michigan my entire life and for whatever reason, I've never been to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It's pretty pathetic because my fiance is from the Upper Peninsula and still neither one of us has ever made the trip. Hopefully, that will change this summer. I mean, who doesn't want to go to what is considered the most beautiful place in Michigan?
I just noticed that the shipwreck tour boat company called Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tours in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore area is now taking reservations for the 2021 season.
According to MLive, the three tour vessels are equipped with specially designed, through-the-hull glass viewing areas for overhead views of the submerged wrecks, offering up to 45 feet of underwater visibility. Tell me that doesn't sound freaking awesome.
Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tours offers not only tours from above the water but also offer all-levels shipwreck scuba diving excursions in the Munising Alger Underwater Preserve. This is something I've been wanting to do since the day I became a certified diver a few years ago.
Even though I've never been to Pictured Rocks, I know how amazing it is from all the photos and videos I've seen over the years. Anytime someone says Michigan is a boring ugly state, I show them photos of Pictured Rocks.
Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tours are kicking off their summer season on May 29. They're already taking reservations which you can book on their website.
